Holiday Party at New Horizons
Since 1991 each December our organization sponsors a holiday party at New Horizons (located in Auburn Hills), a non-profit organization that employs adults who are mentally and physically disabled. The event transforms their workplace into a one-day visit to the North Pole -- complete with music, lunch and the ever treasured visit with Santa Claus bearing gifts for one and all.

Our Sheriff's Department volunteers feel overjoyed and get a lump in their throat when they witness the joy Santa brings to our guests as he reaches out to those who are hearing impaired in American Sign Language. We had 185 guests at our December 2000 party and this year we will be celebrating our 10th year of offering this special day to the hard-working employees of New Horizons.
